Why we love it

This goat milk shaving bar seriously gives the best shave in town! It’s got a really smooth, tight lather for a comfy wet shave. In fact, it’s so good you won’t ever need a second shave. The soap simply washes away without leaving any residues or need for further washing. In fact, the only thing you’ll be left with us the uplifting scent of orange and black pepper and a post-shave sensation that’s second to none.

So why use goat milk in a shaving bar? Well, goats’ milk is super rich in minerals and vitamins, including vitamin A which is known to aid the repair of damaged skin tissue and is high in alpha-hydroxy acids which help remove dead cells from the skin's surface. The cream in goats milk helps boost the moisturising quality in this plastic-free shaving bar, making it suitable for all skin types, especially those with dry or sensitive skin and those suffering from eczema or psoriasis.

The makers Goap get the milk from a variety of small-holders and larger dairy suppliers in Cheshire. These range from a small supplier within 5 miles of the makers near Sandbach which has a growing herd of about 10 free-range goats that they have come to know as individuals to a larger dairy based in Knutsford which can fill in for any irregular milk flow from smaller suppliers.

You won’t find any palm oils, parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates, phosphates, preservatives or SLS/SLES in this shaving bar. The colours and fragrances are all created from ethically-sourced ingredients, and the gorgeous aroma comes only from pure essential oils.

Why swap

Most shaving creams come in aerosols, which usually aren’t accepted by recycling centres. On top of that, they use hydrocarbon propellants like butane or propane – essentially another source of greenhouse gasses with a global warming potential to go far beyond that of carbon dioxide!

If they don’t come in cans, they come in solid form, usually packaged in plastic, sadly. This shaving bar comes in solid form but this time, inside a metal tin which can be reused and recycled indefinitely, with absolutely no single-use plastics or pressured containers in sight.
