Why we love them

These brilliant 100% plant-made rubber gloves are perfect for household cleaning jobs, oven cleaning, washing dishes or just protecting your hands from cleaning products.

There is no plastic in these gloves they are fully biodegradable and can even be composted once they have reached the end of their use. Textured for extra grip on fingertips and palms, these gloves are reusable and a great alternative to harmful plastic gloves.

Why swap?

Plastic rubber gloves end up in landfill or the environment and pollute by leaching toxic ingredients as they very slowly break down into smaller plastics, which are then digested by wildlife further adding to the problem.

Lots of plastic or synthetic rubber gloves are only used a few times and then thrown away so switching to a natural alternative can have a great impact on our planet.

Good idea, not robust

I liked that these could be composted, but sadly they disintegrated after about 3 washes. Perhaps I did not rinse and dry them well enough after use...

pretty good

1st pair.... comfortable and fine to wash up. Holed a little more quickly than I expected so we'll see what happens with the next pair

Not great

I really wanted to like these gloves as I get through washing up gloves at quite a rate and I'd like a more eco friendly alternative. However, these are quite flimsy, they got a little hole in after a very short time and also the cuffs don't stay up very well at all so I won't be buying again.

Not fit for purpose

I bought a pair of these gloves from my local zero waste shop, after two days use they had begun to stick together, by the fourth day the thumb tore off and the grips on the fingers were peeling off.
I bought these gloves as a more environmentally friendly option to my usual plastic packaged Traidcraft gloves, but if I have to dispose of them after only four days use this seems to be a dramatic waste of the world's resources.
I am very disappointed and would not buy again.

No grip when wet - not great for doing dishes

Bought these to use instead of the usual marigolds for washing up, unfortunately once wet they have zero grip. Had to relegate these to the bathroom cleaning cupboard before they inevitably caused us to drop a glass or plate.
