Why we love it
This oxygen-based whitening wonder can be used as an antibacterial and sanitising in-wash whitener, odour and stain remover. Used in conjunction with Bio-D Laundry Liquid or Washing Powder, it removes stains and keeps whites light and colours bright. It works well at low temperatures and won't irritate sensitive skin - accredited by Allergy UK.
Lots of laundry detergents use petrochemical-based surfactants to help break up dirt and stains. This sounds great, but the problem is it’s not anaerobically biodegradable. After using it washes down the drain into a sewage place or a river, and if oxygen is not present, it does not biodegrade. Most detergents also contain phosphates, but unfortunately when released into waterways can lead to algal blooms that stifle fish and other aquatic life.
All Bio-D’s products are designed to provide excellent, powerful and effective cleaning without using any ingredients which will hurt you or our planet. Their products are kept as simple and safe as possible to avoid the massively damaging plastics and chemical overuse found in their mass-produced supermarket alternatives.
Try mixing some with water and use it to clean grout between tiles. Try adding some with warm water to remove tea and coffee stains in mugs.
