Why we love it

This gorgeous bath pouf is the perfect alternative to your plastic poufs! It lathers up with any soap product amazingly, without the guilt of adding to the planet’s plastic pollution. It’s made from 100% GOTS cotton, which means it’s biodegradable at its end of life or could even be recycled with your local textile recycling centre - find your nearest one here.

Tabitha Eve recycle and reuse as much of the studio waste as possible, with lots of their scraps going to local schools, playgroups and other independent businesses. They’re also moving towards organic materials and always request that their raw materials are delivered in as little plastic as possible and we have an inclusive and fair policy within the business.

Why swap

The problem with bath poufs is that they end up getting thrown away, which means they will ultimately sit for hundreds or even thousands of years in landfill. Worse still, the plastic microfibres used to make them get washed down the drain every time we use it and enter the local water source.

Unlike its nasty plastic counterparts, these lovely body buds are made from totally natural cotton, linen and bamboo. That means no more plastic microfibres that will be around forever!

How to care for them

We recommend hanging to dry after each use. When your bath pouf needs a clean, wash on cool and hang to dry. We recommend replacing hygiene products regularly.

Not quite ...

Thought this might be a good replacement for those bath 'lilies' or 'puffs' that are made of plastic and no doubt very bad for the environment. The advantage of those plastic bath thingies is that they are soft enough for the more sensitive body parts, produce a lot of foam from a small amount of soap (that's got to be good, right?) and dry very quickly. This bath 'pouf' made of cotton might seem to be a good idea.
However. It's too small. It doesn't really foam up your soap. It takes days to dry. Meaning it started smelling very quickly. I am not going to run a hot wash on my washing machine every day just to wash this. NB I did of course rinse it out every time, but really it needed to be machine washed after every use. Maybe if you bought one for every day of the week? Well the search for a replacement for a bath 'puff'', 'lily' 'pouf' (what are they called?) continues.
