Our top natural essentials....
You’ve probably had or used a loofah sponge in your life, but did you know it was made from a vegetable?
Unlike sea sponges, loofahs are not the remains of an oceanic creature. They’re the fibrous flesh of the mature luffa gourd — and you can even grow them in your home garden!
Loofah's are a versatile product indeed! Not only are they completely natural, edible (not the dried ones!), and great for bathtime, they're also a dab hand at the washing up. Check out our Washing Up Loofah Twin Pack below.

2. Coconut Coir
Coconut coir is the natural fibre taken from the outer shell of mature coconuts. Although it's classed as waste, it's got some pretty amazing properties!
It's got impressive water-holding abilities, making it perfect for gardening products. Coconut fibre is also tough and durable, making it an ideal natural alternative to synthetic scourers. Our natural Coconut Fibre Scrub Pads are made from sustainably-sourced Indian coconuts.
Non-Scratch Coconut Sponge
When people say 'wood pulp', what they mean is cellulose. Cellulose is a carbohydrate made from wood fibres which has a surprising range of uses!
Maybe without you even knowing it, cellulose is everywhere! From wrapping up items (cellophane), to use in clothes, and even in fast food - eek! Cellulose is a very versatile product, but did you know if can even replace synthetic sponges?
Synthetic sponges are typically made from petrochemical plastic and only break down into microplastics. Check out our completely compostable cellulose sponges for a natural, biodegradable alternative.

4. Kaolin (Clay)
Kaolin is a naturally-occurring clay mineral which is the ingredient in many products including paper, natural rubber and even face masks.
Its fine texture and impressive ability to disperse easily in water also make it a perfect addition to eco-friendly, natural toothpastes. Kaolin has high calcium, zinc and magnesium properties, and when used in toothpaste, helps to polish and whiten teeth naturally.
