You *may* have noticed our brand-new collection of beautiful handmade cotton and bamboo homeware by Tabitha Eve… All their products are absolutely perfect for living a less wasteful lifestyle – we’re obsessed!
So, we thought we’d take the time to write a bit more about who Tabitha Eve are and why we love them so much.
How Tabitha Eve started
Tabitha Eve’s founder, Debbie, started her personal war against plastic pollution when travelling and diving the seas of Borneo. Confronted with so much plastic on the beautiful island that was home to so much sea life, she promised to do her bit to reduce the plastic problem.
Debbie started creating products to replace her own disposable kitchenware, and soon others were asking to order some to help them do their bit too. And so, Tabitha Eve was born! Debbie’s studio in South Wales opened in March 2018, with a team of super talented sewists to hand make the products.
One of the (many) reasons we love Tabitha Eve so much is their genuine passion for the environment. They’ve been moving towards organic materials wherever possible and always request that the raw materials are delivered in as little plastic as possible. They recycle and reuse as much of their studio waste as possible with a lot of their scraps going to local schools, playgroups, and small businesses.
All their products are made to last, but when the time eventually comes, all their products are 100% recyclable or compostable.
