Let’s pull together and help Ukraine

The Russian invasion on Ukraine has now forced millions of Ukrainian civilians to flee to find safety. Nations across the globe have come together to provide as much support as possible by donating money, essential everyday items, and taking in refugees in a bid to help.

At EcoVibe we want to play our part and demonstrate our support to the people of Ukraine, and to make it easy for others to donate to those in need.

Here, we go through what we’ve done so far to help out the people of Ukraine, how we’re helping you donate, and other resources you can use to show support  from home.

What we’ve done so far

We know that it’s extremely difficult for those in shelters, or on the move, to gain access to basic everyday essentials like self-care and food. So far, the team at EcoVibe have pulled together a selection of products to donate, that including:

  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Floss
  • Canned food (soup & vegetables)
  • Flour and cooking essentials

We’ve donated these to ensure that Ukrainian civilians' basic needs can be met. We’re also working alongside our suppliers to spread the message so we can all pull together to show support.

Our Non-profit Ukraine Essentials Kit

Finding ways to donate can be difficult, it can be hard to figure out where to start, and donation points may be out of reach for many - So, we want to help you show your support.

We’ve curated a small kit that will be delivered to a local donation point on your behalf to help those in Ukraine who are unable to access everyday essentials. We want to make it clear that EcoVibe makes absolutely no profit on the sales of these kits, what you pay is the cost price only.

You buy a kit from our site, nothing will be shipped to you, like we said we’ll donate this on your behalf to a drop off point. The Kit is £4.99 and will donate these basic items to Ukrainian refugees:

  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Floss
  • Antibacterial Soap

Other resources you can use to help from home:

  • Donate to charities:

  • The Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC)  has launched a Ukraine humanitarian appeal. You can donate as little as £1 to help DEC charities provide food, water, shelter, and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.

Similarly, the Ukrainian Red Cross has launched an emergency appeal. You can choose to make a one off payment of as little as £1 and make regular monthly contributions to aid in the ongoing disruption and aftermath of events. Your donations will be used to help those affected by armed conflict, blood collection, mobilisation of volunteers and resources, and emergency activities.

  • Homes for Ukraine:

  • The UK government is launching a nationwide scheme that will allow individuals, charities, community groups, and businesses to volunteer to give accommodation and a route to safety for Ukrainians and their immediate family members forced to flee.

Someone is eligible for the scheme if they are a Ukrainian national or the immediate family member of a Ukrainian national, and were resident in Ukraine prior to 1 January 2022.

Sponsors can accommodate refugees for as long as they are able to, the government announced that it expects this to be a minimum of around 6 months.

The scheme will allow Ukrainians to live in the UK and work for up to 3 years, and have access to healthcare, benefits, education, and much more.
